We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced & committed Food and Beverage Manager to become a key member of the leadership team on one of our award-winning family owned holiday parks, but more specifically, at our 17th Century Old Mill Pub and Restaurant.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a high volume restaurant and bar – naturally geared towards delivering an exceptional service.

Full time, permanent position with accommodation available if required.

 

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks owns and operates four family resorts all in the village of Woolacombe in North Devon, home of England’s best beach and a popular destination for holidays and short breaks. Offering a choice of self-catering caravan, lodge and apartment accommodation along with modern camping and touring facilities, the parks also combine a variety of guest amenities including swimming pools, sports facilities and catering/retailing outlets.

 

As well as proven leadership experience in the industry, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Effective leadership across all areas of a bar and restaurant and be accountable for their daily operations.
  • Assisting with delivering performance targets against budget, stock levels and cost control whilst ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Ensuring each team is consistently performing to their maximum capacity and the highest level of customer care is always provided by them to our guests.
  • Ensuring our guests feel welcome and are presented with a safe, clean, and appealing environment which leads to increased customer satisfaction, return visits and increased profitability of the restaurant.
  • Operating the bar and restaurant according to company policies and procedures and statutory legal requirements.
  • Delivering on-the-job training to your team as required, ensuring delivery is consistent and engaging, in-line with company procedures. To provide additional coaching and development with individuals where appropriate.
  • Ensuring the pub and company are being promoted appropriately in the local vicinity, to position Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks as the employer and holiday provider of choice.
  • Communicating the vision and budgetary requirements of the venue to team members and providing them with feedback relating to the venue and company performance.

 

This full-time permanent role includes working evenings, weekends, bank and school holidays whilst offering an attractive salary and rewards.

 

Role Specific:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, at all times – leading your team by example.
  • Serve and present beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting company standards.
  • Take food orders and serve to table / clear tables.
  • Ensure the bar and front-of-house areas are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and new products.
  • Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink range.
  • Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with all aspects of their experience.
  • To operate and promote the Challenge 25 policy.
  • Stock rotation.
  • Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Deal with deliveries and report and loss or damages to the duty manager.
  • Assist in keeping wastage to a minimum by the correct pouring and measurement of products.
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training.
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team.
  • Lead the front-line bar team during service.
  • Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws.
  • Be involved and contribute at team meetings.
  • Set Rotas.
  • Organise staff training and maintain training records.
  • Motivate team and keep morale high.
